Wargame Design Studio’s Youtube Channel

We have recently launched a Youtube channel as a further way to showcase the work Wargame Design Studio is doing.

Our channel can be found here; Wargame Design Studio – Youtube Channel

Of interest Rich Walker has done our first six videos based off the recently released American Civil War Battles title – Campaign Petersburg.

Rich’s first video is an introduction to Campaign Petersburg. Please note, these are all High Definition and can be watched from below and full screen if desired;

The second video covers the Campaign Petersburg Campaign engine and inclusions;

The third video explains the new tool bar that has been included in this first Wargame Design Studio release;

The fourth video has examples of Infantry movement;

Like the fourth video, the fifth video delves into the nuances of Cavalry and Artillery movement;

And the most recent video from Rich covers both Firing and Melee;

Youtube is a new medium for us and Rich has done a great job of building 5 minute videos that explain the functions of one of our games. We’re hopeful that we can include future videos that explain various attributes of our game series and even introduce new features to the community.

We would love to get feedback on the usefulness of videos and our outreach to you the community in general.

Till our next post (or video!)

David

  • Rich Walker did a fabulous job on the video’s of Petersburg.

    Lots of great information.

    Can’t wait for the updates on existing Civil War games and hopefully down the road, the Napoleonic series.

  • Subscribed, I am excited to see more John Tiller content on YouTube some smaller channels have uploaded some content but it is lacking. Maybe a Scenario Editor Guide or explaining what PDTs are I know most of the information are in the game files but im sure the YouTube channel will reach more people once it gets rolling.

  • The content about Tiller games is disperse in youtube in diferent languages, some are good examples of DART (during action tutorials) with a mix of gameplay+tactics+operational plans+learn more about game.

    If you enter in videoworld why not some trailers for games??? released and games to come, nothing sells like an epic song with a sucesion of pixel masacres 😉

    Happy new year and expect we can see a “battle” between “campaigns”.

    PD: i dont know if you select the image of the post because you are good boys or you like torture us hehehe.

    • The image in the post is either a ‘teaser’ or ‘torture’!!!

      We are discussing further content for the Youtube channel – appreciate all the suggestions here.

      • Nice, have a channel empty is a little sad but i need admit that is hard fill it with gameplays of a turn based wargames orientated to combat area, you need a lot of comments and comment every movement like in the twich sesions for Slitherine games (i think in FOG2 here).

  • I realize it’s easier to do all of one series before moving on to another series.

    but, it sucks for those of us who own “West Front” or “Med” games.

    I think it would be better to switch back and forth…….”East Front” then “West” then “Med”.

    one person’s opinion.
